CD Wicks

The CD wicks are a specialty wick with interwoven paper threads. This wick will offer you increased rigidity and will improve the burns of solid scented, solid colored container and pillar candles. This wick is recommend for paraffin based waxes but has been found to be effective in gel and natural waxes.

Cotton core

Cotton core wicking is for applications such as votives, pillars & containers. Cotton core wicks produces the hottest flame of all the cored wicks and will help maintain carbon buildup. These wicks are constructed of 100% natural fibers.

ECO Series

The ECO series is a specialty flat wick braided with interwoven paper threads. This braiding technique gives the ECO series an increased stability level found only in square braided wicks. The ECO series is designed to improve the burning of solid scented, solid colored, pillar and container candles and has been found to perform very well in paraffin / natural wax blends. The ECO series has it’s own special chemical treatment which significantly reduces the afterglow normally seen in wicks containing paper.

Flat Braided

This wick is designed for use in pillars and tapers. This wick gives a slight curl when burning which reduces carbon buildup and makes the wicks self-trimming. This wick is ideal for hand dipping and extruding and dipping machines. This wick is constructed of 100% natural fibers with a chemical treatment to improve the burn performance.

HTP

HTP is a wick designed to provide the benefits of a self-trimming wick posture with rigidity found in cored wick. This rigidity is due to a specialty yarn fiber that is incorporated into the construction of the braid. This specialty yarn, which is 100% natural fibers increases the burn temperature, which results in less carbon buildup (Mushrooming). This is a good all around wick for paraffin, gel and vegetable waxes that require hotter burning applications.

LX series is a flat wick with stabalizing threadsand a special chemical treatment. It is designed to improve burning of solid scented, solid colored votive, container and pillar candles. The LX series offer you: Solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn; advanced chemical treatment that reduces afterglow, smoke and soot; Self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates carbon (Mushrooming).

Paper Cored

Paper core wicking can be used in applications such as votives, pillars & containers. Paper core wicks don’t burn as hot as cotton but they do offer more rigidity. These wicks are constructed of 100% natural fibers with a paper core.

RRD Series

RRD series us a directional round wick with a cotton core and tension threads. It is designed to improve the buring of solid scented, solid colored votive and container candles and comes with either the “C” or NST 2 treatments. This series with the NST 2 treatments works very well in natural waxes. The RRD series offers you: Solid wick construction from pure ring spun cotton yarn; advanced chemical treatment that reduces afterglow, smoke and soot; Self-trimming wick position that minimizes or eliminates carbon (Mushrooming).

Square Braided

Square braided wicks were originally designed for beeswax candles but can be used in all types of waxes. Their open construction and special treatment make them a good selection for viscous material (beeswax & vegetable waxes). Square wick is designed to give you a curl when it is burned to minimize carbon buildup. This wick is constructed of 100% natural fibers with a chemical treatment.

Zinc Cored

Zinc core wicking is used in many applications such as votives, containers and pillars. Zinc burns the coolest of all the cored wicks and offers the most rigidity. These wicks are constructed by using 100% natural fibers in the cover with zinc core.

Sustainer Base Information

Candlewic offers 9 different tabs that are availble on our wick clip assemblies. Our wick sustainers are made of tin coated steel. This tin coating helps prevent rusting and also stops possible corrosion caused by some of the heavier fragrances. In the past the wick sustainer was overlooked and just thought of as an insignificant part of the candle, today the clip is considered much more important. Sustainers with a longer neck are essential for safety in gel candles. The longer neck length enables the candle’s flame to be extiguished before it reaches the bottom of the containers. The 33 mm tab can also save you countless hours in prodcution. This tab is self-centering in our 15 hour votive molds and is very convenient in glass containers.
High Neck 15 MM Base 6 MM Neck
Build your own wick assemblies using this sustainer base. They are used to hold wicks in containers or molds which do not have a hole for insertion and hold wick in an upright position when wax gets close to bottom of container. To use, place wick in center hole of wick sustainer base and squeeze shut to secure wick. Then place in mold for pouring.

160 Degrees Fahrenheit Melt Point
High Melt Point Wax Coating
This wax coating is for applications with above average pouring processes in containers and votives. This coating adds very good rigidity but maintains the durability of the wick.
184 Degrees Fahrenheit Melt Point
Standard Wax Coating
This is the standard wick coating wax and is good for coating standard zinc cored wicks in hot pouring processes for containers and votives.
160 Degrees Fahrenheit Melt Point
Super High Melt Point Wax Coating
This is a specially formulated wax coating that is a must for pouring gel candles. The extra high melt point enables the wick to maintain its rigidity at the elevated pouring temperatures and prevents the wax from melting off the wick into your gel. The high melt point of this coating can affect the burning characteristics of the wick.
